The Board is asked to approve the Parent and Family Engagement Site Policies for Jefferson, Natomas High and Natomas Middle.
Rationale:
Per the Federal Program Monitoring (FPM) resolution process for Compensatory Education three Title I schools that were reviewed during the FPM visit must provide evidence that reflects the Parent and Family Engagement Site Policy created by the site stakeholders was reviewed and approved by the Board.

Each school served under this part shall jointly develop with, and distribute to, parents and family members of participating children a written parent and family engagement policy, agreed on by such parents, that shall describe the means for carrying out the requirements of this section. Parents shall be notified of the policy in an understandable and uniform format and, to the extent practicable, provided in a language the parents can understand. Such policy shall be made available to the local community and updated periodically to meet the changing needs of parents and the school.

XIII.d. Approve Change Order No. 3 with XL Construction for Jefferson Modernization Project

Change Order No. 3 added forty-six items to the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) with XL Construction. Change Order No. 3 includes credited amounts for any unused allowances and is in the amount of One Hundred Seventy Thousand Five Hundred Sixty Dollars and Thirteen Cents ($170,560.13). With the addition of Change Order No. 3, the full GMP value is Eight Million Seven Hundred Ninety Eight Thousand Seven Dollars and Ninety One Cents ($8,798,007.91).

Rationale:
On December 13, 2017 the Board approved Site and Facilities Leases with XL Construction for modernization work at Jefferson School. On May 3, 2018, the Guaranteed Maximum Price was approved in the amount of Eight Million One Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand Two Hundred Forty-Four Dollars ($8,152,244.00). Three change orders were approved and the final contract price is Eight Million Seven Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand Seven Dollars and Ninety-One Cents ($8,798,007.91). In order to close out the contract and contract payments, a Notice of Completion must be approved for this project. As required to begin the lien period, the Notice of Completion will be filed with the County of Sacramento post Board approval.

The Natomas Teachers Association has reviewed and approved the Nurse and Career and Technical Education Teacher descriptions, which are attached.
